HO Scale "SOO Line Railroad" Layout from Sheboygan, Wisconsin
WFRV Channel 5 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, shows the phenomenal HO model railroad layout a local man has in his basement. Beautiful layout + professionally filmed = fantastic video!
The creator of this layout says that he has been working on the SOO Line Railroad for five or six years, and tries to spend forty hours a week. He points out that to create something like this you need to be proficient in a number of skills including track laying, electrical work, carpentry, and scenery creation.
HO Scale Donner Summit Model Railroad Project
This is an excellent unfinished layout, showing the plywood structure, tracks, and working trains. I'd love to see the finished thing, but seeing it in progress is fascinating.
Tim Dickinson's Burlington Northern Empire
A very nice video with good camera work, decent sound, and even captions.
This is an outstanding multi room layout with a number of engineers working on that railroad! The layout is so massive that you only get to see it in pieces. Luckily, the video goes for over nine minutes, so you really get to see a lot of the marvelous scenery and train running action from multiple angles.
HO Trains With Sound Decoders (Part One)
This video shows closeups of trains run by Central Florida Model Railroaders in Orlando, Florida. Beautiful camera work and absolutely amazing sound. Most of this is tight shots of freight trains running towards or away from the camera. One of three in a series, so click on parts two and three after this finishes (using the little icons at the bottom of the video) to spend a lovely half hour with the club.
